XboxLive help trying to play halo 3!?

so last night i was trying to play xbox live on halo 3 and it just says one or more players do not have the maps required to play and im the only one playing so i thought maybe its because I didn't finish the game so i stayed up late last night finishing the game and I went to Xbox Live and it still said that i didn't have enough maps or whatever. if this has ever happened to u and u fixed it please clearly explain to me how cause i get confused easily.

go into a costom game and load the maps then go matchmaking
Works everytime for me
