How do you change Halo 3 armor damage?

How do you change the amount of damage you get on Halo 3? I want to change it so that if you get shot once, you die, in forge.

Press X Then Go To General Settings Then Go To Player Traits Then Click On Shield And Damage Then U Change It (it Doesnt Stay Like That Forever)

you press x in either forge or custom games (cant remember which) and you go to weapons and damage or something like that and you switch the damage to instant kill...

sorry if the instructions arent that good...i cant remember it clearly
