I am playing Halo 3 on Legendary, I got tired last night and didn't finish

the level ...? I quit at a checkpoint, knowing when I play again that's where I will start. I've been playing co-op with a friend and he got off too. He says that I have to play the levels straight through to get the legendary achievement, and I can't stop in the middle of them and then start back up there. Is this true because I was almost done with that freakin level and I don't wanna do it again!

You can continue from checkpoints, they just have to be major checkpoints. When you scroll over thr mission there'll be a checkmark next to the parts you completed and you can start mid-level if need be.

playing it on legendary is HARD. perhaps you should play with your sibling or a friend, it is way easier since you can make each other respawn.
