I cant get onto xbox live with COD4 or Halo 3?

i was playing like normal on halo when suddenly i got disconnected from live, i cant play on XBL with halo and when i get on call of duty 4 it says its downloading game settings which was taking like 15 minutes before i canceled it however Fifa 08 works fine.. does anyone know whats going on

Did you ever see the option to update your 360 when you put in the games? If you did and said no you will not be able to play the game online until it is updated.

I think that you didn't accept the updates for these games. If don't accept the game starts but you cannot play online.
