Xbox 360 Halo update 3 rings of doom?

My Xbox has never frozen or had any problems but it fried on me about 5 minutes after installing the new Halo 3 update. Has that happened to anyone else?

I have had red rings for a while now.

But The fact that you downloaded AU2 at the time of your red rings is coincidental.

Yes it has. There is a reset button inside the xbox that can easily fix this problem. It is slightly complicated but these are the steps.

1. Remove the Hard drive
2. Open the Console
3. Next to the Power cable of the button there is a hole (you need a paper clip)
4. Insert the paper clip.
5. Re-place in the hard-drive.
6. Your good to go.

I had the xbox for about 5 months and then it started stuffing up and apparently it happens to a few becuase they wanted to publish the xbox 360 before the playstation 3 .So they didnt put in a part that it needed. I sent mine to a place over seas and they fixed it and gave me a gamers xbox live card.
Its not the game thats the problem.
Go to the xbox 360 website and send it to the place. They fix it.
However DONT do it yourself because you may ruin it forever and you cant send it to the place if its alredy broken.

DO NOT LISTEN TO ANDY DAO, DO NOT OPEN YOUR CONSOLE CUZ IT WILL BREAK AND THEN YOUR WARRANTY WILL NOT WORK FROM MICROSOFT, just turn your console off and take out the harddrive and let it cool down for like a couple hours and then put the harddrive back on and turn on ur 360 and see if it works

do not worry it is just a unlucky fluke it has nothing to do with the update what ver of the xbox did you have if it is the elite that is weird you get the RROD from over heating hope this helps

nope this showns u dont take care of ur stuff or u play 2 much if ppl actuall took some care of their 360 ppl would have the 3 rings
